Ekta Gupta, Associate Director at MatchMove

To perform, innovate and grow to be a leader, driving transformation in businesses of today, for a better tomorrow! — Ekta Gupta

What’s your story and how did you get involved with MatchMove?

I am a Chartered accountant with more than 17 years of experience and moved to Singapore from India in July 2019 along with my family. I was working with my organisation based out of India till February 2020 when I moved to MatchMove. I got to know about the opportunity with MatchMove in the last week of December 2019, in a social WhatsApp group and was inclined to dive into the world of fintech. I am currently working as a strategic business partner, a finance professional, and a team player leading the product on corporate remittances.

What do you like about working in MatchMove?

MatchMove in the last few months has become a second home to me, with cosy ambience, open culture, and great people to team up and partner with.

Name one of your most memorable learning experiences at work.

The most memorable learning experience was launching the product ‘RemitSend’. An interesting fact is that the RemitSend product was built and launched when the world was passing through the unprecedented times of Covid and lockdown. The team under the guidance of Amar & Shailesh with a focussed approach was able to launch the product in a sharp 100 days.

How do you overcome work stress?

Spending time with my kids and walking down the beach.

Can you share one exciting project(outside of work) that you’ve done/or currently working on?

I am an active member of the ICAI Singapore chapter. The last project which I did for them was to organise a webinar with women panellists.

Looking back, what advice would you tell your younger self?

Time is the biggest teacher and the best healer. Stay cool, calm and composed at all times, good or bad. It is meant to change. :)
